Document Summary

What is folk psychology: descartes" ontological argument is that god is a perfect and the greatest possible being. Kant thinks that existence is not a real predicate because existing cannot be included in the definition of anything. Therefore the second premise cannot be true: pascal"s wager is the argument that one should believe in god because it is a rational choice. The gain from believing god and dying is going to heaven and eternal life which is an infinite gain. The gain from not believing god and dying seeing as god is real is an infinite loss of eternal life in hell and punishment. The gain from believing god and dying as there is no god is none. Symbols don"t symbolize anything because symbols are just combinations of strokes and what not. A category mistake being that two things are not related in anyway but put into the same group of similar things.
