Significance of Business in its Social Context
Issues
- Society is often changing in regards to tech and economy and society’s expectations are changing
alongside it
- Society now had higher expectations, much more involved in lawsuits
- Citizens have more power now, ethical behaviour is changing with it
- Paint company used to put lead in paint now people know how bad it is for the environment so
now its not allowed and now people are talking about suing them though it was legal before

- Civil society is what everyone else answers to (in Canadian society)

- Federal (have to ensure the military, financial system, post office and etc are working)

- Municipal (streets and the roads)
The Civil Society Segment
- Organized and unorganized social networks

- Philanthropic efforts

exchange and civil society provides pure reciprocity
