Socrates did not have any writings, but the fact that there are eras that are before and after him, shows how much of a great influence he was. Plato was socrates pupil, and he carried on most of his work. And to this day, we still have most of what plato wrote. One of the important questions to this date, is what is the proper way to read plato"s writings, as he uses socrates as a character in his writings.
