Throughout history, one can see that violence appeared in multiple different forms. We began by punishing people according to a demonic theology, progressed into scientific theory, and even developed different types of rehabilitation for improper behavior. Criminological theories have examined behavior, the environment, and many varied factors to create different views to explain why criminal behavior happens. N the hood, we can see crime taking place and through multiple theories are able to explain why such events happened. Throughout the movie, some characters chose to engage in deviant behavior, while others did not. Truly, every character in this movie is affected by social disorganization; they live in a lower economic neighborhood defined by disrupted families and broken homes (williams & Growing up, tre was exposed to seeing dead bodies in the fields nearby and constant security measures, such as helicopter surveillance. Through adolescence, he witnesses gang activity and, people drinking alcohol in the streets.
