Document Summary
On september 22th we discussed the broad topic of reform liberalism. Reform liberalists believe in the equality of opportunity where every person has an equal chance, especially in areas of education, employment and political participation. I will be touching upon mary wollstonecraft who advocated for equal rights for women. Also i"m going to elaborate on a class discussion on brain drain and link it to l. t hobhouse. A vindication of the rights of woman (1792) by mary wollstone outlines her beliefs in the equal rights for women in politics, employment, and education. Wollstone fought against the common ideals of what was expected of a woman. She argued against rousseau, who proclaimed that women should be educated for men"s amusement, she said that education is a necessary tool for the development both men and women. Education enables anyone to reach their full potential which is important.
