ENG 1120 Final: Final Exam notes

Open book - bring course pack, dictionary, notes. Part one (20%): read the essay that accompanies the exam. Evaluation will be based on the demonstration of your ability to read critically. Answer each question in at least three sentences. Part two (80%): choose one of the following questions and write a well- crafted essay response of at least seven paragraphs. Your essay must make effective use of minimum of four citations from the texts (with paragraph number in brackets beside the quote). Feel free to use citation from other essays. (gatto, 3) is fine. Make lots of notes all over the content you"re reading. May use a little bit of summary to locate where the reader isbut don"t make the whole essay about it! Read for something what is the writer actually arguing: find the thesis, look at language - incredibly clear or incredibly obtuse.
