When my university professor mentioned that the globe and mail had internship positions available in the field of human resources this summer, i was instantly interested. I feel that there is a lot that i can do for the globe and mail in this position thanks to my individual skill-set. One of the main reasons i chose to apply for this position is my own personal inclination towards human resources. I have recently spent a period of several months working as a secretary for my father, a local optometrist in sudbury. My tasks while i held this position included answering the phone, dealing with customers, booking appointments and organizing files. I feel that my experience in this position could be vastly helpful towards a position in human resources. Great interpersonal skills, an upbeat attitude, as well as being an extremely outgoing person make me a great candidate for an internship in human resources.
