Chapter 8: tom wanders to forest, deciding to be pirate instead of clown, tom and joe would rather be outlaws than president. Chapter 10: if the boys tell what they saw and injun escapes, he"ll try to kill them, the boys swear in blood to never tell. Chapter 11: dead body was found injun describes how potter killed him and got arrested, tom sneaks to potter"s jail cell every few days to bring him gifts - conscience feels bad for not telling the truth. Chapter 12: becky is sick - doesn"t come to school, tom gets even more depressed and polly worries, tom gives the cat a pain killer polly gave him, then cat reacts with hyperactivity, becky returns but rejects tom. Chapter 15: tom sneaks back home and hears everyone say how they miss the boys and they should"ve been kinder, he returns to the island.
