Jangle pop: chiming guitar from 60s folk rock, melody-driven pop sound, indie characteristic, eg: r. e. m radio-free europe. Noise rock: pop style merged with sound qualities of distortion, feedback and dissonance, in uences by the velvet underground"s experimentation with noise. Shoegazing: overwhelming volume, long droning riffs, distortion and feedback, white noise wall of sound, use of effects, pedals (band looking at shoes, gentle, ethereal coals, in uences by psychedelia, eg: my bloody valentine, when you sleep.
