Why research: the body of knowledge is what identifies nursing as a profession, evidence-based practice. A body of evidence that nurses can use to help make decisions based on the evidence but also involving your own judgment and the patient"s experience. Community added factor: resources: analytical and knowledge skills, reduces costs. Research involvement more involved than you think you are: production, participate in meetings. Journal clubs review articles together: making clinical decisions, review a proposed research plan. We"ve always done it that way, it"s the custom . It"s the traditional way to do it here . The textbook tells us to do it that way . This is the way i was told to do it .
