Involves formulating specific questions and then systematically finding answers. Similar to the assignment that you will be doing, except you don"t do any stats. Our expectations are modified by our own perceptions of ourselves but also feedback you get from others. Interdependence: mutual ability to affect each other"s outcomes: how often you see them, different in every relationship. Duration of contact: how long you see them for when you do see them. Diversity of interactions: for example: lecturing does not have diversity in the interactions it"s only teaching, romantic relationships can have many aspects: dates, intercourse, family gatherings, etc. Direction of influence (e. g. uni- vs. bi-directional: professor and student is more unidirectional from prof to student. Strength of influence: how much influence someone will have on your life. The close relationship is one of strong, frequent, and diverse interdependence that lasts over a considerable period of time . Desire, sexual desire and lust for partner.
