Myth #1: women cause men to sexually assault by the way they look or dress. Women from all ages, body types, and different clothes have been sexually assaulted at some point in their lives. Offenders look for a vicim who seems vulnerable from the way they talk/act rather than what they wear. So it is more in the personality rather than appearance. Myth #2: it is not sexual assault if either person is drunk or under the influence of drugs at the time of the assault. Cannot legally give consent because the victim is either unconscious or impaired from alcohol or drugs. So having sex with someone who is unconscious or impaired is considered rape according to the law. Conversely, if the offender is drunk or under the influence of drugs, it is an unacceptable defence for committing rape. Myth #3: rapists come from a certain demographic of people: non-white, lower-class, and the criminal types.
