While with inferior ovaries, the ovary may be embedded within the receptacle, but is located beneath the other floral parts. Simple fruits: develop from a single carpel or several fused carpels. Complex fruits: develop from multiple pistils or multiple flowers. Aggregate - formed from a single flower with many pistils; each pistil develops into a little fruitlet and all fruitlets mature on a single receptacle. Multiple develops from a flower inflorescence.
