Closed stratified system: allow no social mobility + demands social reproduction unless significant numbers are able to win/buy their freedom. Circular mobility: the circular movement of people (up down + up again) Movement move up might bring someone down down = circular movement of ppl. Structural mobility: shifts in the economy which allow for greater movement of people (either up or down) Economic growth that allows ppl to move up. Growth of economic prosperity = more jobs = move up. Reproductive mobility: those at the bottom have more children than those at the top.
