The jobs women have and the tasks they are assigned differ from those of men no matter which field you look it. Women do one job while men do another example: nurses are associated with women whereas mri technicians are associated with men often this pattern hold out in practice not just in theory. Vertical sex segregation women are separated into prestige levels where women are more likely to do family law, men are more likely to do corporate law (one is significantly more prestigious than the other) The broad categories of the kind of work people do or consider themselves trained in/capable of doing work in. This question allows us to see if women have equal access to jobs as men; additionally, the jobs men do also tend to be more prestigious and higher paying than those women do (ex: nurse vs. doctor)
