Resources and energy are not ininite, with rapidly growing populaion we need to ind ways to increase sustainability, as most of the worlds populaion will be living in ciies soon. Strengths of interdisciplinary approaches you can have more knowledge on a variety of disciplines and not just one topic. You learn about many diferent disciplines and it helps form the foundaion for upper level courses in these disciplines. When you learn about other disciplines, it can help you understand a certain topic much beter. Weaknesses you don"t have a lot of knowledge on a speciic discipline because you focus on all of them. Not very speciied or an expert on individual topics, very general/broad knowledge.
