I'm doing a real world physics problem on home run hitting. It was pre determined that the angle the ball leaves the bat at is 45 degrees, the height of the bat when it hits the ball is 4 ft, the height of the ball is it clears the fence that is 400 ft away from contact is 40 ft. What I need to find out is bat speed, pitch speed, the velocity of the ball when it leaves the bat and what the maximium height the ball reaches in the air is. Should I use the torque and inertia to help with the problem? Please help!!!
