Document Summary

The difference between perfect and imperfect adaptation is that there is no known example of something perfect, as nothing might be perfect. An example of something imperfect would be the panda"s thumb because it has evolved but not perfectly. It means that the two hypothesis are correlated. A positive correlation is a relationship between two variables. If one variable increases, the other variable increases as well or if one variable decreases, the other variable decreases. A negative correlation is a relationship between two variables. Local why question deals with more inclusive events that will be explicable only if there is something outside of it that we can cite by way of explanation. They focus on part of what has happened in the world"s history. In contrast to them are global why questions questions that ask for an explanation of the totality of what has happened in the whole universe"s history.
