POLB81H3 Study Guide - Final Guide: North South Mrt Line, Transnationalism
Document Summary
I pledge that i developed and wrote this essay on my own. The last few decades have seen states gather time and again to bargain over climate change treaties that have so far proven to be fruitless. The scientific solution to the problem is to simply reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. However, the multilateral approach to solving climate change problem is well beyond that simple solution as it incorporates various issues between north north, north- south, and south-south blocs. The transnationalism perspective to climate change has taken a different approach to the problem by proposing all sorts of action be taken at various levels (countries, provinces, cities, individual, ect. ) as the method to tackling this issue. There are many advantages that the transnationalism perspective on governing climate change presents however, it cannot take the place of an international treaty as being enough to solve the problem.
