Affects how ppl adapt to social situation. Some ppl will feel that personality is more stable than others. Ppl might be more outgoing w/ frds, in a social setting. Around this time (in uni) is when personality disorders become prominent. In the early days, personality wasn"t considered a separate area in psych; instead it usually appeared as a topic of abnormal psych or social pysch.
