Sathya SivapathasundaramthDue Wednesday 122011The Tragedy of One Few Over the Cuckoos NestA tragic story has many elements including the main character and his or her tragic flaw a struggle that the main character attempts to go through and their tragic death One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest directed by Milos Forman represents tragedy through the character of Patrick McMurphy His tragic flaws and struggle to free the other patients from their prisonlike existence ends in McMuprhys death Even in a mental institution McMurphy exhibits a positive way of living His personality helps other patients to feel like they can have fun and not fear the head Nurse The movie used various forms used to captivate the audiences undivided attention by McMurphys character which resulted as a downfall and had ultimately lead to a dreadful ending The story begins in a common manner with McMurphy coming into the scene as a leader who wants to make a change to the way the Mental Institution is being managed He does this by pushing his boundaries and gathering the other patients to rebel along with him As soon as he arrives he begins gambling with the patients for cigarettes and resisting the head Nurse Mildred Ratcheds rules As the story continues the viewer gets a sense that McMurphy is there to make a huge impact
