Review Lecture 6-8: Dec. 7th
-review midterm: memorize and review the short answer (memorize)
Review Lecture 9-11 and finish off any readings: Dec. 7th
Practice Exam: 9-11 am at Gerstein. Attend review session: Dec 8th
-complete memorizing all the important terms
Supplementary reading: For the Schacter article, you are only responsible for material
directly related to that covered in lecture. Note, however, that the reading covers this
material a lot more thoroughly than lecture.
Chapters 6 & 7: Long-term memory. Exclusions: Any information related to the serial
position curve and the double dissociation between STM and LTM (i.e., the material on
the serial position curve covered before the midterm).
Chapter 8: Everyday Memory and Memory Errors. Exclusions: Section titled “Something
to consider’ p 233. The main concepts of this chapter topic are covered throughout the
chapter, making it impossible to omit any other specific parts. However, you do not need
to know any experiments mentioned that were not discussed in lecture.
Chapter 9: Knowledge. Exclusions: Section titled “Representing concepts in networks:
The connectionist approach” pp 255-260
