PSY280 JULY 24, 2012 What is depth percetoption – ability identify distance or relative to ourselves or each other Pretty important bc allows us to orientate and act properly Projection on eyes is 2d and to perceive depth we use viusla cues Mono – 1 eye Bi – 2 eyes Are inacuuricies lead to illusions Depth - Non which ones in front of other- no quantative - Metrical is quantical in front of purse - Absolute is 1 foot Problem - Main problem same retinal image for close and far objects - Toy produce same image retinal angle image as car far away -
