Measurement = administering a test for the purpose of obtaining a score and collecting information. Evaluation = interpreting a score; placing a value judgment on the measurement and making a decision based on the results. What is a construct * = something your going to measure (body fat or body comp examples) What is a test battery * = group of tests. Test selection considerations: population = what constructs are you trying to assess, ease of feasibility of test administration = equipment, procedures and instructions, sequence, ease of normative data comparison= scoring and evaluation, validity and reliability, ethics and fairness. Ease of administration: how easy is it, to have a client perform the test, for the participant and tester to interact, how feasible is it in terms of, staff training, equipment and availability, cost. Lab tests performed in a highly controlled lab environment.
