(1 mark) The method of induction is moving from specific observations to general conclusions. This can be problematic because there is no way to determine how many observations are enough for such a general conclusion. The method of deduction is moving from a general theory to a more specific hypothesis. This is largely more successful as it provides an opportunity to test hypotheses.
