Anterior (ventral) coming to the front of your body. Posterior (dorsal) the back of the body. Transverse cutting the body into half (upper and lower) Midsaggital cutting directly in the middle into right and left. Sagittal cutting into right and left halves. Coronal cutting into anterior and posterior halves. Circumduction moving in a circular position. Eversion moving bottom of foot towards outside of body. Dorsiflexion moving foot towards sky (i. e. toes) Plantar flexion pointing foot to ground (i. e. toes like a dancer) Fissure narrow slit between parts of a bone or organ. Foramen openings for vessels, nerves or ligament (a hole) Meatus tube like opening (ear canal) Condyle rounded prominence at joints ex. Facet smooth, flat area on a bone ex.
