Bioinformatics is the future of genetics but it is a very vast, complex, and dry field to study. At the front end, people who can teach, instruct, and implement the programs. There are three steps of bioinformatics: assembling, searching, and comparing. Genome assembly is done through bioinformatics and is one of the biggest challenges. It used to be hard to generate the data and then assemble it but now, technology like illumina. Then it searches it against the translation of all 6 orf of everything in the database. The types of hits are not consistent. Dna: between human and chimp cox1 gene, the protein sequence is about 99% identical. This is due to the fact that there can be different codons coding for the same amino acid. If genes are taken from the chloroplast, it will align with the green algae genomebut it is a snail.
