Camouflage (in cities, camouflage will not work as well) (white moths used to hide on trees, black ones were obvious until industrial revolution, trees turned black, black were hidden and white were predated) Alarm calls in traffic- become more visual (alarm calls are hidden in cities with traffic noise; squirrels in the city use tail flicks rather than sound when it is not heard; changing strategies) Fleeing: house finches increase flight distance (more predation); mynas decrease it. Evolutionary, they did not evolve with cats as a predator so it is difficult. Artificial light: some animals use light from the moon and the stars to orient themselves. Coastal cities are being asked to turn out their lights since adults and baby turtles when they hatch get disoriented since they use the moonlight to orient themselves.
