Hephaestus god of fire and metal craft lame god: he hits zeus" head with an axe which allows athena to be born. Hera zeus" wife and sister: watches athena being born, which she sees as zeus" latest display of power. Showing that he does not need a woman to have children. Hera is not pleased that zeus was able to accomplish this. Later on will attempt to give birth without the help of a male.
