Lecture #6 – Web Site Creation Process 1.Stages of Creating a Website ­ (what happens in each stage) • Stage 1: Planning and Design – Meeting with client, info gathering by asking  questions and listening, learn as much as you can about their: purpose/audience,  menu options, content, deadline, websites they like, web domain and web host,  decide on: colors, fonts, background • Stage 2: Implementation – Questions to ask: who will the maintainer be, straight  HTML programming vs web page software, complexity, KISS principle, effective  design techniques  • Stage 3: Publish – Webspace, use FTP software (file transfer protocol), upload  once website is ready (more testing), backup your files • Stage 4:
