October revolution: communist revolution: within the petro soviets there was one party in control with two factions. Provisional government (cid:498)refusal(cid:499) to (cid:498)peace, land and bread(cid:499) Germany helped lenin return home to make trouble for russia: 12/10: armed uprising approved by bolsheviks, 25/10: winter palace captured by red guards (the red guards were not professional soldiers, but they were those armed workers) Measures taken after the october revolution: state ownership of lands, banks, railways and large enterprises, 152 million hectares of lands redistributed, withdrawal from the war (treaty of brest- litovsk)
