Advancements in anti-aging science & technology: scientists are designing medicines and technologies to help certain demographic groups to appear younger, they are working very hard to find a solution to aging. Ageing as a biological process: two theories: scientists are looking for ways to slow down our biological processes or prevent/reverse damage done to our bodies. Internal and external factors such as diet, exercise, and environmental stress (i. e. , smoke, Uv, radiation, etc. ) contribute to cell damage and repair and effect the rate of aging: separate from these factors, we also have a biological clock buried within our genetic makeup that can only run for so long. In other words, we"re programmed to die : every time ours cells divide and make a copy of our dna, a small section at the ends of each chromosome is skipped over during replication.
