Vitamin and mineral supplements have become very popular in Canadian society. On average, 40% of Canadians have used a nutrient supplement. This survey will be used to compare the knowledge of first year Food and Nutrition students and fourth year Food and Nutrition students pertaining to vitamin and mineral supplements. We, as third year Food and Nutrition students in Advanced Food Science believe that it is crucial to know about the different vitamin and mineral supplements, there affects on the body, and when it is appropriate to take them.
