In the article the ivory tower, the writer talks about different problems in the current education system in high schools as well as universities. We have had a problem with grade inflation in the high schools which has led to a problem in the universities because people come to university ill-prepared for the work. The problem going on presently is credentialism which is that with careers now, we need more education attainment.
