Known to be the father of technology. Advertising is a very considerable part of our total culture. It is not separable form any of the other activities out world (1968) it is now even more part of our social world. 2: distribution of resources- vast of money are distributed and social and human resources; advertising agencies that hire advertising people to make an ad for the super bowl, that is a lot of human and economic resources. Privileged forms of discourse messages of attitudes and expectations are through what we wear. Has a special prominence in our lives. A century ago: church sermons, political oratory (having us be good citizens) and elders (respected what older members of our society would say) this value has changed because our social values have changes. Now: discourse through and about objects- is now more about what we are wearing then who we are, give off.
