Pharmacology: looks at how the biochemical science (the drug) itself effects the body, every human being has different reactions to ingesting the exact same drug. Biology: interested in genetics and science and explaining what happens when we add the drug. Anthropology: focus on the cultural components of drugs and their use on various societies. Political science: political and governmental processes that are related to drugs, include the tensions with the drug trade between countries. Economics: macro level - focus at supply and demand at the core of the drug trade, micro - drug use and abuse and economic productivity. History: drug use throughout history and how the legal status has changed, might also look at beyond the legal status at patterns of use and misuse throughout history. Psychology: focus on range of human behaviours but most interested in the individual.
