Men do crimes for totally different reasons than women. Were always looking for patterened group behaviour. Women are the fastest growing group in prison. Our system loves throwing people in jail but now especially women. We focus on women offeders because theyre different. Irene was first woman sk to use a gun in america. She was a prosititute, did drugs, had a horrible childhood and background. This is the pattern for most women in crime. Mcklintock is the only one that follows the pattern of having a rough backgrouns. Most women in crime are prostitutes or run aways. Women are less likely to offend because men in social deviance have ethic of justice whereas women have ethicto care and care for others, men not as much. Most mainstream theories would see women as deviant for not committing crime. Men commit 81% of federal crime, only 500-700 woman are federally incarcerated. All are about men and ignore women until about 1980.
