Batch process: moderate quantity and variety of goods desired. Equipment does not need to be lexible but process intermittent; one job depends on other. Example is a bakery; or movie theatre or plane. Challenge is scheduling batches in order to meet demand while utilizing resources. Slight lexibility of equipment, skilled workers are low.
