Ec 140- lecture 1: introduction and chapter 19. Microeconomics is the study of the decisions of individuals, households and firms, and how they interact in an economy. Macroeconomics is the study of aggregated economic outcomes such as inflation, unemployment or economic growth. Midterm 1: saturday, january 27th @ 7pm. Midterm 2- saturday, march 10th @ 7pm. Final exam: tbd during april exam period. Class 3: measurement of national income- chapter 20. Class 4: the simplest macro model- chapter 21. Class 5: adding government and trade- chapter 22. Formative assessment- 70/90+ assignments- 20: course outline quiz- due january 27th, dynamic study modules- before class, clickers- in-class, homework assignments- after class, review quizzes- test/ exam preparations. Midterm 1, saturday january 27th 15% Minor assessments: no late submissions, no makeup assessments- complete at least 75/90. Midterm 1: 5% to midterm 2, 10% to final exam. Midterm 2: makeup test on friday march 16th.
