Artery - vessels carrying blood away from the heart. Vein - vessels that convey blood to the heart. Arteriolar - vessels of the smallest branch of the arterial circulation. Venule - vessels that gather blood from the capillaries to form the veins. E. g, superior vena cava pressure diffuses as you go closer to the surface of the skin.
