Surprisingly, although this product is fairly new, three of the largest companies that deal with technological products have entrepreneured and revolutionized the smart speaker. These companies are amazon, google, and microsoft; but unlike the competitors, microsoft has supplied harman kardon with their voice recognition system known as cortana instead of creating their own branded smart speaker. Even though the smart speaker is a new industry within technology, i believe the industry is at the growth stage of the industry lifecycle. The smart speaker industry is at the growth stage of the industry lifecycle due to several reasons. Primarily, the products created by amazon and google, along with microsoft"s co- produced product with harman kardon, all converge and share a technological standard.
