Theories are stories that we tell to help us understand why things are the way they are today. They are invented by humans, and should be constantly under revision with new data. Theories like stories are also never value netural, they are always told from someone"s perspective. Gender roles, behaviors, and differences that are not natural consequences of minor biological differences but are due to the result of historical, economic, and cultural aspects. What doesn"t matter is the differences itself but what matters is what we make it ourselves. In those meanings (stereotypes) has the power to tell us how we should act, what we want, how we should dress, what jobs we should get. Social institutions, culture, history and individual personality shape the raw material of biology into gene deed human beings. A approach that argues that current gender differences and inequalities including the unequal distribution of political power, wealth, and social status are the inevitable outcome of nature.
