Humanity has been around for over six million years ago. As early as our childhood, empathy can be developed within ourselves because empathy is all around civilization. Emotional arousal helps one demonstrate empathy because this allows us to care and has a more cognitive approach. Many argue if empathy actually exists permanently within humanity. Empathy is inherent in humans as portrayed throughout history, such as italy"s romito dwarfs, the arctic"s inuit community, and 2001"s 9/11 attack.
