Document Summary

All living things are made up of many different cells. Start life as one cell and divide into multiple omnipotent cells. In order for a cell to specialize into a specific kind/function is must go through a process called: Cell receive a trigger within the embryo as to its specialization. Alike cells fuse together to form organs and systems. Cells and systems also need a way of communication, this is done by three systems: Sensory system - picks up on cues and changes within an organ or system. Relay system makes decisions and process information, begins to formulate action plan . Response system replies/responds to the original stimulus or change. Ex: driving on the highway and having the car in front of you break suddenly. Eyes are the sensory receptors, nerves create impulses to activate the muscles in your leg (relay) and your foot will press the brake pedal (response)
