Participation will be based on attendance (being on time) and showing interest and willingness to participate. In addition, you will be required to submit 2 reading summaries for the fall term. You may choose any two readings from weeks 2 through 12. If there are multiple readings or chapters for that week, just choose one to summarize. The summaries are due on the day when the reading has been assigned at the beginning of the class. You cannot submit two summaries on the same day. The summary should outline the main thesis or idea of the reading, the main themes of the reading, and an observation on how it relates to the course.
