Delusions false beliefs, - feeling of being persecuted, threated or pursued. People with schizophrenia cannot dive their attention to a particular event, they"re attention is always selective. Very easily distracted by the smallest of changes in the environment. Display inappropriate emotions laughing at a funeral, crying when others are laughing, sudden anger. They have difficulty reading the expressions and others minds. It effects young individuals maturing into adulthood. Risk can be increased through childhood abuse experiences or bullying. Chronic schizophrenia (process schizophrenia) a form where symptoms appear by late adolescence and early adulthood. As people age psychotic episodes last longer and recovery periods shorten.
