Abstract: only when our society start sharing the same values and beliefs towards the importance of health and safety is when true advancement starts. Occupational health and safety is increasingly becoming a higher interest to organizations around the world. Employers miscalculate the true benefit of health and safety services and only see it as a cost to provide for their fellow employees. In fact the real costs come from the lack of health and safety compliances, which incurs lost time injury (lti) costs. It"s an understatement when employers propose only the legal consideration of health and safety to their workers. Most employees aren"t educated enough on the potential health and safety risks to know whether or not it"s enough. In fact most employees not only suffer from work related injuries, they also suffer from work related illnesses in the long-run.
