Introduction: main theme for today: the connection between the group and the individual. The purpose of this study was to see how people act in the presence of others. One of the first classic studies on the power of the group. Thoughts, feelings and behaviours: the actual presence of others: i got dressed this morning and people saw me. When we do things such as getting dressed or styling our hair we are doing it based off of the ideas of others. It is the thing that we usually study and gather data about. It is the interest in what individual people are thinking and doing. Much of our life is social performances talking and thinking about others; staging activities: what people do, things that we can observe for ourselves, communities and groups are people apart of society. Society is a big group of people that we are a part of. Society has different things in which is below.
