Gives aboriginals the opportunity to have powers similar to local governments in canada. A right fought for when canada atempted to assimilate first naions through the indian act of 1876 because the belief they couldn"t control/ govern themselves because they were not civilized enough. The indian act of 1867, allowed the federal government to make decisions on their land. Their self-government only applies to their own community and nothing outside. They sill have no external power or that beyond a province. Known as gender normaive is when someone"s gender corresponds to their genitalia. Someone whose gender matches the sex they were assigned at birth. This would contrast to someone who is transgender meaning their gender does not correspond with their genitalia. Some transgender people will go through processes to make their gender match their genitalia for example surgery or hormonal treatment. People who are cisgendered will never experience the diiculies that transgendered people go through.
