Archaeology study of man through his material remains. Arch material remains and the information that tells us about the people who lived there, and their things. Botanists can help show geographical location and where the people lived by where the plants they used/ate came from. It is the physical examination of a geographical region in which promising sites are most likely to be found. Surveys tell you a little about a large area with little to no destruction. It is the systematic uncovering of archaeological remains through the removal and deposits of soil and other material covering them. They give a lot of information, however excavations are very destructive. Otzi told us a lot that we did not know about the neolithic time period. We did not know they could smelt copper during the neolithic. We thought the people were hunter-gatherers, but otzi had wheat porridge in his system when he died, showing agricultural advancement.
